SMTP Settings - B2B

To complete the setup of the SMTP settings, a set of short requirements needs to be followed. Find some comments below:

- For your candidates to be able to use their own email address so that they can be submitting emails to the companies, they need to set up the SMTP settings based on the fact that they all have Gmail accounts (if not there is still a way to connect their accounts with Gmail).

- What is significant here is that the 2fa of Google (2 Factors Authentication) needs to be activated. So your candidates need to do so from their personal email address settings. - We will simultaneously proceed with the activation of such an functionality on our end.

Below, find some guides on how to set up the SMTP settings:

1. As we said before, you need to turn on the 2-Step Verification on your Gmail. Agan, you may find some guidance here: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/185839?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop

2. Your candidates need to create an App password from their Gmail settings (or even you as an admin if you have their credentials). This will be used later on, during the SMTP setup on their accounts. This guide may provide assistance: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/185833?hl=en

When they have completed the aforementioned 2 requirements, they will need to follow the below simple steps:

1. Visit this link: https://app.loopcv.pro/profile/smtp

2. Gmail SMTP server address: Host: smtp.gmail.com & Port: 587

3. Gmail SMTP username: Your full Gmail address (e.g. username@gmail.com).

4. Gmail SMTP password: App Password (the one you should have created as indicated above).

5. Secure connection: Off

6. Click on the Save button on the down right corner.
